The “Wenge”!
This ‘Pocket Token’ is made from the Exotic wood “Wenge”. It is found in Africa (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zaire); It is a very dark brown with black streaks. It’s pronounced “WHEN-gay”. It has excellent strength and hardness properties. A nice pocket reminder!
The embedded Masonic Square & Compasses emblem is the same as I use on my knives. Token Diameter: 1-1/4″; Thickness: between 5/16″ and 3/8″. Unstained. Polished.
